I was one of those kids with too much energy. I did not sit still very well. My poor mother! So I dove into my mind weaving stories that kept me occupied and out of trouble. I stored up trips to far away places and wondrous adventures. Reading was another passion and outlet. Enid Blyton and later Mary Renault, Mary Stewart and Morgan Llewellyn fed my hungry mind. I did not think of writing anything down until I shared one of my stories with some friends. They returned each day to hear the continuation of my tale and at the end of it suggested I write them down. What a novel idea.
In doing so, I found a new passion, that of crafting a story and building a world of my own. After an argument with my then boyfriend I dove once again into my mind, free writing and gave birth to Ellaria and The Dragonglass Bowl.
There was still a long road ahead of me.
Ellaria has grown since that first time and so have her characters and it gives me great pleasure to be able to share this with you. I hope she touches your hearts as she has mine and I hope you enjoy The Dragonglass Bowl.
Nothing is as it seems.
